Dancing, Just God and I
Dancing through crisp, cloud filled skies, I’m alone, just God and I
commune with joy ‘neath heaven’s dome, above the world where peace is grown.
Wheeling through the azure miles, I feel freed in cosmic aisles
to live, to breathe the open air, with grace through pain and worldly cares.
Dancing twixt the stars and moon, at height of shade-Night’s starry noon,
I see His hand travailing still, in works of love to mold my will.
He ushers me past galaxies beyond the realms from earth I see,
revealing depths beyond my sight to teach accord of dark and light.
Leaping ‘cross the furling waves and bright sea rocks, dark coral caves,
we journey on to drafts unseen, past ocean’s edge with golden gleam.
God points to water’s boisterous edge, reveals my heart-like ebbing ledge
is prone to wander winding ways of chancy “truth” and heart’s decay.
All of this majestically, revealed in dance of God with me.
Never in uncertain step does His love fail or heart forget,
my life, my breath and yearnings strong though oft’ unsure to Him belong.
My reach indeed “exceeds my grasp”, and that is point of rocky Path.
